RUNNING TO CATCH THE WIND

Your love swept over me, like hot wind from the East.
I’ve never felt such love before, such wonderful release.
I tried hard not to look at you, so handsome, tall and cool,
how could this be happening, I was no man’s fool.
But like a clap of thunder, it hit me from above,
and forever after, I gave my heart to love.
I was running, running to catch the wind.
I kept on running, running to catch the wind.
Keep up with me baby or you’ll be left behind,
you know another women is not that hard to find.
So I started running, running fast and swift,
girls are pretty fast you know when caught in some man’s drift.
I was running, running to catch the wind.
I kept on running, running to catch the wind.
I’d never been in love before, I’d never felt a thing,
and then you came into my life, each day was constant Spring.
I was running, running to catch the wind,
I kept on running, running to catch the wind.
A leaf caught in a hurricane, hopelessly in love,
I never slowed or fell behind, I stuck like hand in glove.
Finally you looked around and saw my smiling face,
Declared I was the winner in this endless race.
I was running, running to catch the wind.
I kept on running, running to catch the wind.
