A Women’s Kind of Thing

women 2Like women of old we gathered beneath the sheltering pine and vowed to keep our secrets safe between your heart and mine.

We formed a sacred circle in the candles flickering light and whispered word like Namaste into the dark of night.

We took a heroine’s journey to deep within our heart, remembering our childhood and how we got our start.

Thankful to be together where no one else could hear, we talked of friends and family and knew we need not fear.women 3

We spoke of thoughtful choices and milestones along the way and listened with attention as each one had her say.

The Priestess and her Mother shared their wisdom and their sight and gave us hope and courage to always do what’s right.

We danced with wild abandon and taught our hearts to sing, we had a fine reunion, A Women’s Kind of Thing.
